I play online? I waited in a matchmaking lobby for like 5 minutes!! Is there no multiplayer, do you have to pay extra for it? I haven't seen 1 single second of online multiplayer from Gears 2. Really this is what I bought the game for, you would think a game so important to Microsoft would be golden out of the gates. EPIC fail. None of my friends can get online either. If anyone has a suggestion PM me plz, otherwise the game is getting traded to gamestop

Its a pure blast, just the servers need some refining. Marketing I doubt will break this game, word of mouth will sell this one on its own. truly need to experience it to appreciate it.
Not really a whole lot different than the first, take that as you will but I sort of expected more. Don't know what though. Visually it looks about the same as the first with a few more textures, less popping and overall pretty good. Been experiencing some skips in the cut scenes though (scary). reminds me of the mercs 2 launch. the game is horrible because of the bugs. although this game isn't bad, saw my buddy playing it on PS3. I thought it looked good and had a decent framerate. the only thing I noticed was the missing GOAT test, we laughed for like 20 minutes on that one, also noticed some A.I. glitches too. But nothing like Mercs 2's A.I., or lack thereof
If my rainman can play resistance and killzone I'm happy
Anyway, I do pay to play on XBL, it's reliable and as it should be. Sony providing a free service should be of no concern, since for the most part most other online services are free. Free is always welcome, unless she has herpes
but the lock ups and server issues pissed me off. when its working its a blast, great people on it too. this is my first socom so take it as you will, I still say say its good stuff

don't know where people get the idea it looks bad. The ps3 version runs really well, noticed a couple hiccups early on, but its remarkably stable now. The game has a lot of polish in it, compared to other games of recent, *cough mercs 2 cough*.
at the end, I would definitely hit up that offer if I had the chance
if you actually played the game you would realize the level of detail that went into it, rent it then make a decision. Don't base your actions on hearsay. Games and developers like this are the future
